Andre Charles Le'Shawn Walker

Andre Charles Le'Shawn Walker is a performer, artist, and writer. A former dancer with the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, he is now self-publishing his book, "The Boy Who Would Be Queen: I'm With Her." This inaugural collection of poems and stories speak to his struggle with crystal meth addiction and child abuse and celebrates the women in his life who saved and strengthened him through sharing their experiences. Andre is committed to fighting for LGBTQ equality and women's rights, and passionately works to halt the oppression of black and brown communities in the US.
